Curriculum Writer
About the Role
We are seeking a Curriculum Writer to help develop high-quality, accessible Bible curriculum and resources for learners with disabilities. This role will work closely and collaboratively with the Executive Director to create curriculum units, stand-alone resources, and supplementary materials that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and rooted in sound theology.
This is a remote, part-time, contract-based role with flexible hours, perfect for someone who loves adapting, writing, and creating curriculum resources and is passionate about accessibility in ministry.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop curriculum units and stand-alone resources
Research and apply special education research-based practices to ensure lessons are accessible to learners with intellectual or developmental disabilities
Write, proofread, and edit content with exceptional attention to detail
Incorporate creative storytelling and teaching techniques, visuals, and multi-sensory approaches into curriculum
Simplify wording for Bible stories while remaining true to the message
Ensure all resources are theologically sound, developmentally-appropriate, and engaging
Work with feedback, revisions, and collaborative editing processes gracefully and proactively
Assist with formatting, layout, and design elements of curriculum resources
Meet deadlines consistently while maintaining high-quality standards
Support broader team initiatives related to curriculum development, including digital resource creation, handouts, worksheets, and activity guides
Who You Are
Experienced in special education (required)
Experienced in ministry (preferred- volunteer or paid role)
Knowledgeable about research-based practices for learners with intellectual or developmental disabilities
Love dreaming up creative, accessible ways for students to experience God’s Word: designing activities that pre-teach new vocab and story concepts, reinforce Bible truths, and engage learners through hands-on, multi-sensory learning
Passionate about the Gospel and Bible study, and wholeheartedly believe that all people can experience salvation and faith in Jesus
Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to excellence
Skilled at writing, editing, and revising curriculum content
Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) and Google Drive
Experience with Asana or project management tools is a plus
Collaborative, flexible, and open to feedback
Eye for design and creativity in visual and written content
Someone looking for a flexible, meaningful job that provides supplemental income

Location: Remote
Position Type: Contractor (Contractor positions are considered self-employed and do not include benefits.)
Hours/Pay: Part-time (Flexible, dependent on projects, approximately 10 hours per week) at $20/hour

Content & Community Specialist
About the Role
We’re looking for a Content & Community Specialist to help us care for and grow the Awe & Wonder community- both those who are already part of it and those we haven’t met yet.
This role is part connection, part creativity. You’ll support our current subscribers, help new churches and families get started with our resources, and create engaging educational and training content that strengthens our community and invites others in. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director to brainstorm, build, and share ideas that serve our mission and empower others to do the same.
This is a remote, contractor-based position with potential for growth as our ministry grows.
What You’ll Do
Community Care & Engagement
Cultivate a warm, connected online community for current subscribers through our Awe & Wonder Facebook group or other online community forums
Start conversations, share stories, and encourage interaction among subscribers
Highlight the experiences and wisdom of current subscribers through featured blog posts, social content, etc.
Provide onboarding support for new church and family subscribers
Develop a strong understanding of our curriculum to confidently support others using it
Assist with subscriber communication and customer support so every member feels supported and equipped
Content Development
Create and update digital printable resources for our member resource library that complement our curriculum and help train subscribers in disability ministry and accessible discipleship
Create blog posts and other online training content geared to support churches in disability ministry, as well as special needs families in home discipleship
Collaborate with the team on social media content ideas (Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest)
Help brainstorm and create email campaigns, webinars, and other free resources to better serve our audience
Community Growth
Build relationships with potential new subscribers (churches, parents, and ministry leaders) through networking and referrals
Leverage our online content and searchability to increase awareness of our resources
Optional: Represent Awe & Wonder at conferences and events (This may include travel 2-3 times per year; this is not a requirement, but a possibility).
Who You Are
A natural connector and cheerleader who loves meaningful conversation, encouraging others, and cultivating community
Experienced in supporting or teaching students with disabilities (bonus if in a ministry setting)
You feel like your experiences could help others learn to successfully support individuals and families impacted by disability at church or in home discipleship in a deeper way
Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive- someone who takes initiative and follows through
A creative thinker who enjoys collaboration and developing new ideas
A self-starter who thrives on creating and researching
Comfortable being on camera for short trainings, webinars, or community content
Tech-savvy and comfortable using tools such as: Canva, Flodesk, Asana, Squarespace, Facebook Meta Business Suite, Zapier, and Google Drive
A natural eye for design (skilled in creating resources in Canva, Adobe, etc.)
Writing and editing skills are a major plus!
Understands the basics of SEO (a plus)
Experienced in building an online community (a plus)
Experienced in using a project management system such as Asana, Monday, etc. (a plus)
Experienced in developing and scheduling email automations and workflows (a plus)
